WHAT
WE DO

Our 2025 Highlights
This year has been a busy one for the EV Foundation. From helping students access life-changing school trips to supporting families in need and celebrating community milestones — 2025 has been a year of impact, collaboration, and compassion. Here are just some of the moments that made this year truly special for The EV Foundation.
Supporting Students’ Futures
This September marked a proud milestone - the graduation of our first-ever bursary student. With ongoing support from the Barzilai Foundation, 20 young people are now pursuing university studies, many the first in their families to do so.
Making Back-to-School Brighter
Through our Uniform Appeal, 104 children received brand-new uniforms, shoes, stationery, and other essentials for the new school year. Each kit helps children start school with pride, comfort, and confidence.
Standing for Equality and Inclusion
At June’s Pride Conference, hosted by the Ministry of Equality, we stood proudly with Gibraltar’s LGBTQ+ community. Love, respect, and inclusion remain at the heart of the EV Foundation’s mission.
Reinvesting £93,812 back into Gibraltar
Since 2023, our employment programme has created 589 work opportunities, amounting to £93,812 back into Gibraltar’s community. Each opportunity helps people gain skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Easter Kindness and Creativity
This Easter we shared over 200 Easter eggs and bollos hornasos with local families and clubhouse members — small acts that brought big smiles. At the same time, Susanne Cruz’s handmade Easter treats raised £1,700, with every penny going to support vulnerable families and young people.
Coming Together for Flag Day
Our Annual Flag Day fundraiser raised £1,782.08, thanks to Gibraltar’s generosity. Every donation goes directly to supporting families, students, and vulnerable individuals who turn to the EV Foundation for help.
Helping Families in Valencia
Our partnership with Maroc Atlas made a real difference in Valencia. Together, we raised £2,000, which went directly toward purchasing essential appliances and furniture for families and individuals most in need. The Maroc Atlas team delivered everything by hand — a true example of compassion in action.
Partnering with Other Charities
This year we donated £1,000 in vouchers to the Citizens Advice Bureau and supported the Mindspace Project with free plumbing and appliance work. When charities collaborate, the whole community benefits.
Creating Dignity at Home
From full kitchen installations to custom furniture repairs, our team worked tirelessly to give families safe, functional spaces to live in. Every item refurbished or recycled represented more than material aid — it restored dignity and stability at home.

Christmas Appeal
The EV Foundation's Christmas Appeal, an annual initiative since 2014, unites our community in spreading joy during the festive season. This heart-warming project involves the generosity of donors and active participation from volunteers. Hundreds of families benefit from essential items, making Christmas magical for those in need. Over the years, this initiative has touched the lives of over 2000 children. Join us this year to continue this impactful tradition.
EV Wish campaign
Isla Magica, October 2021
October’21, saw us taking over 15 families, (50 individuals) to Isla Magica Sevilla, to spend a dream weekend in the Andalucian theme park.
All costs were covered and the families were able to enjoy a weekend away in a luxurious hotel and forget about their stresses back at home.
Summer Waterpark day out
Every summer families are taken to nearby water parks in Spain.
Regardless of their age, a water park is a great place to take a break from your daily routine and enjoy some exhilarating fun with your loved ones.
You won’t only capture enough memories but also have an enriching experience while having a good time with your family, away from the hustle-bustle of life.
Euro Disney April 2023
13 members of 3 families were able to live the magic of Disney.
Families who took this vacation together can testify to the amazing bond that was created through this opportunity.
The Children especially were able to benefit from everything that comes with the travelling to another country. Different cultures, cuisine and new experiences.
We offered magic and they were able to create and live it.
Children's Christmas Party
The EV Foundation believes every child should have the right to feel the festive season in a joyous manner, and for this reason every Christmas we hold our annual children’s Christmas party.
They experience receiving gifts from Father Christmas and being part of the festive spirit.
EV Educational Development programme (Inc CPD)
Invest in effective professional development of those working for the Foundation in order to enhance skills that will benefit the organisation and its users.
Also give educational and professional opportunities to vulnerable individuals so that they can up-skill, enhance professionally, and create greater and more positive opportunities.
COURSES
OFFERED
Courses offered to low income or unemployed individuals
Microsoft & Excel basics course
Jan'22
9 candidates were presented by his Worship the Mayor Mr Christian Santos, with a certificate of completion on a 10 week course of Microsoft/Excel basic course.
With this partnership, we aim to close the technology gap and upskill adults who would never have had this opportunity.
For adults who lack familiarity with computers, life in the modern age can be a challenge. That’s because technology is involved in almost every aspect of our lives: we need it for work, school, keeping in touch, day-to-day task management, remote education and even online shopping.

July saw us giving a two day Budgeting workshop to 9 individuals from low income backgrounds or that are non-employed.
The EV Foundation partnered with HM Government of Gibraltar’s Department for Training and Rock Learning Gibraltar and what a successful workshop it was.
